The Westfield Police Department consists of a Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, Special Services Division, Support Division, Records Division, and a K9 Unit. The Patrol Division is responsible for responding to crimes, foot and neighborhood patrols, school patrols, residential vacation checks, public relation details, security checks, investigation of traffic incidents, traffic enforcement, and criminal apprehension. The Criminal Investigations Division conducts prompt and proactive investigations. The Special Services Division provides additional enforcement of active criminal threats and provides direct support in the investigation and apprehension of criminals.
