The Bedford Police Department consists of an Officer’s Division, Detective Division, and School Resource Division. The Officer’s Division handles day to day operations including traffic enforcement and responding to service calls. The Detective Division investigates general assignment criminal complaints, manages major case investigations, conducts follow-up investigations, provides support to the Uniform Division, and helps manage the department property room. The School Resource Division promotes a safe learning environment, provides resources to school staff, and works with teachers and youth to prevent and solve problems at the school.
